Lois also had Jennie Williamson Durkee's obituary, which sheds some light on the discrepancy of the date of birth. In the obit it says she was "born in Hebron 67 years ago ...." and in the funeral notice it says "Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Williams Durkee, 76,...." (On her grave stone it says "
1865 - 1942" ) which is incorrect according to her date of birth, July 26, 1874. Will see what the Town of Hartford Historian has for records on this matter, not that I'm going to fix the stone, but just to check it out. :)
